As the 2010 Winter Games approach details about the Games have become public such as the carrying of the Olympic Torch though Canada. Its route will start in Victoria on Oct 30, 2009 and continue circling across Canada until it reaches BC on Jan 21, 2010. It will travel around BC for 27 days visiting most of the province and the Canadians living in BC. On its journey it will travel 45,000 KM just inside Canada, the longest domestic route, and will be carried by 3500 torchbearers. The Olympic Torch Relay has been a tradition of the Olympics which Canada tends to keep. I believe it is a good way to bring everyone together, "We will share the Olympic Flame with young and old, northern and southern, eastern and western - and everyone in between - in order to make these truly Canada's Games." It doesn’t matter your sex, age, ethnic background, and culture, all that matters is that you are Canadian and want to share in this glory Canada has been given. It’s a once in a life time opportunity and Canada has to make this perfect. I agree that the torch should been seen all around Canada, even in the most northern parts, because it means that you don’t have to be at the Games to be a part of Canada’s Olympics. The propose of the Torch is to unite Canada and make it not just the Vancouver Games but Canada’s Games.
